So
the_lady_lily linked to a survey for classics majors asking how they felt about their education and how it relates to their current careers. And it asked if people were satisfied with their lives.
It's a funny question. But yeah. My life is pretty great. I had a job interview this weekend at Harvard, and I feel really good about it. I bought a delicious pecan pie for Pi Day. Yesterday I went to an Ides of March Roman forum and saw a "Dogs of War" pet costume contest, and then I went to a Purim party at
paper_tzipporah's house and my Magical Girl Shadowcat costume won the costume party. Today I did a whole bunch of cleaning and roasted a chicken and made risotto with peas. Next weekend I'm getting another tattoo; in a couple of weeks I have plans for margaritas and ranting about classics, and a concert to go to with my roommate, and meeting a bunch of people to see Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Easter's coming up, and then my sister's college graduation.
There's a lot to look forward to. There's a lot of good, right here, right now. I need to stop and appreciate it more often.
